Leadership Team

Elizabeth Gerbel – Founder, President and CEO

Elizabeth A. Gerbel, CEO, founded E.A.G. Education Services, Inc. (EAG EDU) in February 2015 to fill gaps frequently seen in the oil and gas industry.  Borrowing from her experience as the CEO and founder of EAG Services, a consulting company delivering superior and cost effective solutions to the upstream oil and gas industry, Elizabeth created EAG EDU with the goal of providing industry-wide, 21st century training to professionals working in and alongside the oil and gas industry.  As CEO of EAG EDU, Elizabeth is personally involved with meeting the requirements of partnering companies as well as providing guidance for the development of courses and the user interface experience.

Prior to founding EAG, Elizabeth was a partner at McKinley Powell, LLC and a manager within PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Management Consulting organization.  Elizabeth began her consulting career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) specializing in SAP and operational accounting.

Elizabeth earned a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School at The University of Texas at Austin in 2001 specializing in entrepreneurship. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, from Texas A&M University in 1994.

In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys reading, cooking with friends and traveling to beaches around the world.

Amanda Thibodaux – Vice President of Internal Operations

Amanda Thibodaux has been part of the EAG family since 2008, working in consulting delivery for 4 years before moving into Operations. As Vice President of Internal Operations, Amanda is responsible for the overall management of all operations for EAG Services. These responsibilities include information technology, accounting and finance, company compliance, facilities, human resources, recruiting, retention activities, internal communications, company events, and everything else required to make sure that the business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Prior to joining EAG, Amanda spent ten years in the automotive industry as a consultant and project lead for the Reynolds and Reynolds Company. This role included multiple implementation and migration projects with various customers across the globe and extensive development of internal resources.

Amanda holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University in College Station and holds a PMP certification.

 

Orlando De Los Santos – Director of Educational Services

Orlando De Los Santos joined the EAG family in 2007, working within the consulting delivery side of EAG Services until the summer of 2015 when he transitioned to the role of Director of Educational Services for EAG Educational Services, Inc. (EAG EDU).  Based in Denver, Colorado, Orlando relies heavily on his E&P experience, technical knowledge and project delivery skills to manage the development and testing of all EAG EDU course content.  In addition to content development, Orlando is responsible for overseeing the overall user experience, support of EAG EDU as well as managing some of the administration aspects of the company.

Before joining EAG, Orlando worked at Reynolds & Reynolds, a software company servicing the automobile industry, located in Houston, Texas.  During his time at Reynolds & Reynolds Orlando’s focus was on domestic and international software implementation consulting , data conversions as well as internal and user training.

Orlando graduated from the University of Houston with a BBA in Management Information Systems and Marketing.  When the weather in Denver permits, Orlando spends his time playing tennis, cycling or reading outside.

Lindsey Mersman – Business Development Manager

Lindsey Mersman has been a part of the EAG family since 2013. She initially joined EAG as part of the consulting delivery team, expanding her knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry on a large scale Land Management System implementation. While in delivery, Lindsey also gained strong expertise in Change Management and Communications.

As Business Development Manager, Lindsey stays up to date on industry trends and opportunities to build partnerships and affiliations. She also focuses on creating new client relationships as well as maintaining current client relationships. Lindsey is dedicated to understanding the challenges our clients face and collaborating with them to determine suitable process and technology solutions to solve those issues.

Prior to joining EAG Services, Lindsey spent 6 years in sales and customer service, responsible for project design, project presentation, contract negotiations, budgeting, implementation, and profitability. Effective communication with diverse personalities and learning styles is one of her key strengths.

Lindsey graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where she earned two Bachelor of Science degrees; one in Business Administration Marketing and one in Human Environmental Sciences Hotel and Restaurant Administration.
